Welcome to my world of magical, mythical paintings and story art. In these paintings symbolic stories are woven among brilliantly colored and detailed images of mythical creatures and folktale characters. Originally I intended this art for children and found to my surprise that adults enjoy them as well. Perhaps this is the child in all of us.

As an artist I have long been intrigued by the ancient art of storytelling. As my daughter was growing she and I would frequently play with imaginative storytelling. Within this dramatic verbal art form we invented many unique stories which I now use as a foundation for some of my myth paintings. My intention is to celebrate life and its magical possibilities. Through this art children might be encouraged to create their own stories. Each painting is quite different and I continue to paint new ones. All are made into stunning Giclee art prints.

As well as being a painter I am also a freelance textile artist and have been for many years. I also enjoy designing objects for children's' creative play. My interactive greeting cards, puppets, and costume art has continued to evolve out of this interest. Play is an important part of my creative process and I believe the paintings shown here explore this drama, playfulness, and celebration of life.
